Have you seen the new tv commercial featuring camping hiking gear? I think it is really cool as the focus of the commercial is on who was the originator of "social networking." The Coleman company has come up with this very original idea as a way to promote Coleman camping gear like a Coleman tent and Coleman cooler. The commercial is set in the 1950's and features adults and kids socializing and having a good time while enjoying the outdoor sport of camping. I really like this commercial because Coleman has hit on a basic truth about outdoor camping when they say this is the original means of social networking. I was just a baby in the late 1950's but I can vividly remember our camping trip's in the 1960's and one of  the things I liked most about visiting a camp ground was meeting other campers kids and doing all the fun things young boy's do when camping. The friendly atmosphere and spending nights around the campfire with old and new friends are cherished memories for me.
