I was invited to a tailgate party before a Phoenix Cardinals game last month. It had been a long time since I was at one of these traditions of football. As a matter a fact, the last tailgate party I was at was for a college football game. That was loads of fun with the crazy college crowd. Wow! The tail gate parties have gone hi-tech. I would now consider tailgating as a fun outdoor sport. There were all kinds of vehicles with fold-up grills and portable grills made with tailgating in mind. The one item that is always present and are plenty of are the Coleman coolers. Being in the desert southwest, you have to have plenty of frosty, cold beverages in a few Coleman coolers and the other coolers for keeping the food cold til grilling time. We all had a great time hours before the game started and met plenty of fans and out of towners. It has almost become a contest on who has the best grilling equipment and recipes for tailgating. I had almost forgot we did come here to watch a football game.
