outdoor sport


The next time you go camping don't forget to pack the frisbee. Really! You know how the family plays horseshoes or tosses a football, right? How about adding the outdoor sport of frisbee? 

My family is crazy about camping and any outdoor sport that can be associated with it. Trust me, they have tried anything and everything and often make up their own activities. One time they pulled out the frisbee and the games began. They broke up into teams, found a clearing nearby our campsite, made goals with pine cones and the frisbee flew! Points were given sort of like in horseshoes. If the goal was achieved three points were gained. A close shot, within a frisbee length away from the goal got the team two points. This outdoor sport kept my family busy for hours. 

The best thing for me about camping and participating in any kind of outdoor sport is the laughter I hear and the camaraderie it builds with the kids. Is there really anything better than that? Afterwards we gather around the campfire with a bunch of new tales to share. Then the old stories and memories come forth with all the embellishments. It is wonderful!
