If you have ever been backpacking, you know that every ounce in your pack counts. You have to make sure you have light gear and the right gear. Often times, camping cookware can make or break your backpacking experience. The wrong piece of camping cookware can make for a heavy pack or a disastrous cooking experience. That's why my favorite piece of camping cookware is my ultralight aluminum pot. I use it for everything! In the morning, I boil water for tea or coffee, and then mix oatmeal into the leftover water for a nice hot breakfast. For lunch, I use the pot as a cup for my electrolyte drink mix to pep me up for the rest of my day hiking. For dinner I use it again to make hot soup, instant rice, or other wonderful camping culinary creations. After dinner comes my favorite time to use my lightweight aluminum pot. This is the time when my friends and I gather around the fire to make hot chocolate and share or amazing hiking experiences with one another.
